An evening manual update is therefore more likely to succeed than a morning one. YouView tend to make the next tranche of numbers available to download in mid afternoon on weekdays so that boxes can update overnight. It would save a lot of confusion and frustration as your question indicates - we get a similar thread opened every time there has been an update publicised. One of the things I have been rattling on about for ages is for YouView to publish the planned rollout programme showing which boxes will be able to access the firmware and when - and updating it if the original schedule slips. I presume it is one of these three figures (probably the Identifier) that is sent to the YouView servers to test if there is an update available. On Humax boxes this is either DTRT1000 or DTRT1010 but on Huawei boxes is DN370T01. If you follow the menu tree YV>Settings>System Information>Device Information you will see it lists your box's maker and model followed by the "variant", a serial number and an "identifier" which has the model number in the middle. Phased rollouts like this one can take two weeks to get to your "lucky number".
